Zug, Switzerland - March 7, 2022 - impactvise AG, a leading provider of ESG analytics, educational training, and strategic sustainability advisory services for the legal market, today announced the open enrolment for The impactvise Sustainability Programme for Legal Professionals, its inaugural partnership programme with world-renowned business school INSEAD. The four week programme, comprising a total of eight live-virtual sessions designed to be compatible with the global footprint and varied schedules of LSPs worldwide, commences in September 2022.

Developed alongside INSEAD’s Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society (HGIBS) and its efforts to align the future of business with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this flagship offering equips lawyers and legal professionals at firms or on in-house general counsel teams with an in-depth understanding of key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability concepts, the global ESG regulatory picture, new models of stakeholder capitalism and the circular economy, and the ways each of these elements impact strategic decisions at the intersection of law and business.

Craig Smith, INSEAD’s Chaired Professor of Ethics and Social Responsibility, said, “Legal professionals are crucial to help their clients shape a more sustainable world. As Programme Director, I am thrilled to introduce this innovative new course which will allow legal leaders to level up their ESG game.”

Shaped by a core belief that legal professions can directly and positively affect the people they advise and the companies they represent, this course aims to shape the next generation of credible legal leaders who will accelerate the sustainability transition through informed counsel that meets the demands of 21st century society and stakeholder capitalism. The programme fosters a unique learning experience beyond standard technical legal training; focuses on the importance of making choices and dealing with ethical dilemmas arising from ESG; and enables legal professionals to present clients with a comprehensive spectrum of options when navigating the ESG transition.

Yannick Hausmann and Adrian Peyer, co-founders of impactvise AG, said, “ESG issues represent ‘the opportunity of the century’ for the legal profession, and we believe the winners will be those who embrace ESG with creativity, conviction, and courage with respect to their business and professional activities. Our focus with this programme is to demonstrate the positive impact lawyers can have when equipped with the necessary education and context to understand, advance and execute on advising their business clients for ESG."

Attendees will hear directly from thought-leading professors, business executives, and former General Counsels from billion dollar multinational corporations on how to integrate business, strategy, and sustainability into legal advising, including:
